Coffee makes you poop

Buzzfeed did a video on this topic and I was like what? If you Google it even more, apparently this has been a topic that has been discussed before on and off, I guess depending on the mood? However the most important thing was

THIS WAS NOT A REGULAR THING TO EVERYONE?

Whoa!! HOLY ESPRESSO BEANS!

It does make sense in a way though, my younger sister and my dad could drink coffee all day and they still has normal bowel movement (that is a fancy science word for pooping)

There are actually a few reason why it does this

Caffeine
It affects sensitive people. It does money things including relaxing the intestinal wall, increases acid production in the stomach and not to mention they are a type of diuretics which causes you to pee more

Acid
Coffee is acidic and this will disrupt the regular acid cycle you have in the stomach. An interesting fact is that decaffeinated coffee contains more of these acids, you in theory you would poop more drinking decaf. (I wanna try this)

Artificial sweeteners and creamers
If you love putting non dairy creamers and artificial sugar such as Nutrasweet, I got a bad news for you. These two will irritate the stomach lining and cause you to poop out of control


Elevated stress hormones
These hormones include cortisol, adrenaline and norepinephrine. You know that feeling if you oversode on coffee as in you had more than 4 cups at one session. What you never did it? Your heart starts to palpitate or beat really quickly, you get sweaty and your speech starts to slur because you were talking really fast. Also it makes you poop, which is another reason we poop when we feel nervous.

Now, anyone wants a cup of coffee?
Coffee is still coffee even though it's drowned in ice, milk, sugar, chocolate and cream
